Summary

Old Exhibition Building, Frome Road was erected in the Police Paddock below the Royal Adelaide Hospital and adjoining the Botanic Gardens. It was completed in 1860. The large simple building featured semi-circular windows and paired pilasters. Wide verandahs completed the design. In this photograph a carriage pulled by two pairs of mules is standing outside the Old Exhibition Building.
