Summary

Main North Road, passing through the township of Wilmington which is located in the Yorke and Mid North region of South Australia. It is a farming community originally called "Beautiful Valley" by the first European settlers who arrived in the 1850's. The photograph shows the street bordered by single storey and the occasional two storey buildings with deep verandahs. Duckboards have been erected to help pedestrians step up to the footpath from the dirt road.
