Summary

Wakefield Street, south side, Metropolitan Fire Brigade station, right side of station is 33 1/3 yards east of Divett Place and frontage is 33 1/3 yards. This beautifully appointed two storey red brick building has two bay windows with shutters on the first storey. Between these are tall entrances to house the fire cars and carts. A tall extended ladder stands in the background of the photograph which depicts the Fire Brigade's appliances in approximately 1911.
