Summary

[On front of photograph] '"Gulnare" at Southport, Port Darwin / From Captain Sweet's negative.' Another hand '1871-72.' [General description] The "Gulnare", Captain Sweet's two masted schooner, is seen at anchor, her masts reflected in the water. She was the supply vessel for Goyder's Northern Territory survey expedition. On the right tents can be seen and men are posing for the photographer, in boats and on the jetty. On her return journey the ship grounded on a reef and was condemned.
