Summary

[General description] This modest Baptist chapel was purpose built in 1843 and its first service was conducted on the 19th November, 1843 . It is single fronted with a mullion window on each side of the front door and a front verandah supported by four posts. There is a decorative niche above the entrance which bears the name of the church and the date of its construction. See B 2058 for a view before its renovation as a private house. It still stands in 2015. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 726 / Ebenezer Chapel, April 11th 1939 / Building now used as a nursery for children / Chapel renovated etc in 1938 / For site and other particulars see B 2058'.
