Summary

[General description] River, sky and trees form a backdrop to this view of the Blanchetown Lock and Weir No.1. Completed in 1922, this lock was named for William R. Randell, the Murray's pioneer captain, who first navigated the river in 1853. [On back of photograph] 'No. 1 lock, Blanchetown / 1932 / Reproduced in the Chronicle for July 28, 1932'.
