Summary

South Adelaide Football Club was formed in 1876 as a breakaway club from the Adelaide Football Club. After a meeting in the Draper Memorial Schoolrooms a secretarial position for the club was filled by Charles Cameron Kingston. He was also President of the club until 1904. The team played in the south parklands and used the Arab Steed Hotel for half time drinks.
