Historical information

The South Australian Farmer's Co-operation Union, now operating as Farmers Union, was founded in 1888 in Jamestown, SA. By the early 20th century it produced grain, agricultural machinery and equipment and dairy products. It had factories from the Eyre Peninsula to Mount Gambier. The brand still exists, most notably for its Iced Coffee, but it has been bought out by a series of larger companies since 1991.
