Summary

We wanted to say/do something to connect with neighbours and passersby while isolating at home. I run a children's art playgroup where art materials are used as a vehicle for children to play, express themselves and explore their world. We used the same ideas at home to make our sign, building up one layer at a time. We used pencils, textas, permanent markers, oil pastels, watercolour paints and tempera paint. It was both a fun/chill out activity for us as a family (2 yr old, 6 yr old and mum and dad) and also a way to feel like we were contributing something to our community and having some control amidst all the uncertainty.
