Summary

Two motor cycles competing in a stock machine handicap race: No. 18, D. Booth (W.A.) came first, No. 8, T. Burford (S.A.) is also in the picture. Both of the machines shown are English Norton motor cycles, and are the single overhead camshaft type called 'International'.

General notes

These cycles were unusual for the time as the majority of motor cycles were the overhead valve type. International Nortons were not made in very large numbers and were highly sought after for sporting events, as they were much faster than the OHV types. (From information provided).
