'The Steamer 'Royal' on River Murray passing our River frontage 1925. This steamer later 1930 I think sunk at its moorings at Echuca I believe.' [on back of photograph]. The Pyatt family had a shack on the bank of the River Murray.

Caption reads: 'Adelaide's white towers stand out against the Mount Lofty Ranges in the perfect setting for which the southern capital is noted. In the foreground is a section of the Parklands on the eastern bank of the River Torrens. Beyond the fringe of trees, through which a tean passes, its white smoke pluming back in theclear air, is the Railway Station on North Terrace. The population of the city and suburbs is 315,130. The city covers an area of one square mile.'
