Historical information

According to a researcher, Ada and Oscar Hamilton Harry (also photographed; see B 7723/160) are two of the five children of Thomas Harry (born 1849 London UK, died 1914 Australia), and his wife Harriet Abigail Farrar. Ada was born in 1872 in Lewisham, London. She married Fritz Macard in 1898. Oscar would have been the next oldest child. The other three children were May Winifred Harry, Percy Carveth Harry and Doris Courtenay Harry (b.1887 d.1970). Thomas was brother to Spencer Carveth Harry. The Harry family came originally from Cornwall, family emigrating to Australia in the 1870s or 1880s, and had marital links with the Branwells.
