Summary

View of the original Port MacDonnell Lighhouse at Cape Northumberland. It was built in 1858 and began operation in 1859. The lighthouse was demolished in 1882 after the new Cape Northumberland lighthouse was built, as its position near the edge of a cliff put the structure in danger of collapse.
