Summary

Aerial view of Auburn situated on the edge of the Clare Valley and bisected by the Wakefield River. The name was given by the Burra Mine superintendent from a poem by Oliver Goldsmith "Sweet Auburn, loveliest village on the plain". It was also the birthplace of the poet CJ Dennis.
