General notes

The photographs were donated by Rev. Kenworthy's maternal grand daughter.

Historical information

Walter Benjamin Kenworthy was born in 1892 in Victoria Plains, Western Australia, son of Albert Edward and Clara Mary Kenworthy (nee Wilton). He had four brothers and four sisters. He married Maggie Leach in 1914. He studied at Saint John College in Perth in 1916 and then was based in Quarirading before shifting to Dongara in about 1925 as the Anglican Minister. He left Dongara in February 1928 after accepting a position in the Koolunga district in South Australia. He also worked on Kangaroo Island and in the Riverland. He died 27 December 1948.
