Summary

A woman and three young girls at the gate of a house identified by the donor as 'Grandpa Kekwick's Melb[ourne] St[reet]'. 'Grandpa Keckwick' was Daniel Keckwick; is seems likely that the woman is his wife Gertrude, and the three girls his daughters (he had four daughters - Isabella (born 1852), Gertrude (born 1854), Anna (born 1856) and Caroline (born 1858). The house is shown in the early directories as being on the southern side of Melbourne Street, midway between Roberts Place and Jerningham Street.
