Historical information

The group was established at the request of members of St John's Anglican Church, and was established as an offshoot of the Adelaide University's Social Action group. Originally designed to provide tutoring and outings, they found that the children were alienated by those activities so changed it to a drop in centre, with craft activities. An article on the group appeared in 'The Advertiser', Saturday 9 December 1972.
