Historical information

Francis John Lower was born on 8 November 1889, son of Amos William and Susan (nee Dalkey) Lower at Port Germein. On his enlistment papers he put his occupation as clergyman, Hamley Bridge; he enlisted on 1 June 1916 (service number 62567). After the war, he married Agnes Muriel Davidson and they lived at Mindarie. His wife died in 1944. He kept up his love of lay preaching all his life.
