Summary

[General description] This new single storey building on the left has recently been added to Balfour's premises. This front section appears to be garaging for vehicles, with five large doors opening onto the street. W. Bottrall's 'Batteries Rebuilt' occupy the tiny building on the extreme left. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 245 / Franklin Street, north side / 18 February 1938 / The single storey additions to Balfour's were erected in 1937 / Compare with B 3409 / Site previously occupied by wood and iron buildings / The right side of single storey brick additions is 41.5 yards west of Morphett Street / Frontage of the single storey additions: 21.5 yards'.
