Summary

[General description] Men are hard at work building a wall for the West End Brewery. There has been installed a row of temporary tall poles, similar in height to the electricity wires running past the site. Possibly for safety reasons? [On back of photograph] 'Acres 67 and 68 / Hindley Street, south side / February 9th 1938 / Major part of brick wall demolished before a photograph could be taken / The far end of a wall commenced at a point 13 yards west of Clarendon Place and continued westward for 40.5 yards / For an incomplete view of wall prior to demolition see B 6962 / For view of work completed in 1938 see B 8196'.
