Historical information

Francis Halliday was born about 1835, and came to South Australia from Edinburgh. He married Jemima Grant in 1871 and both worked for the Angas family at Collingrove for a time. They later lived at Phillis Street, Maylands, and Francis was a founding member of the SA Caledonian Society. He died on 21 December 1909, aged 74, and was buried in the Payneham Cemetery. [Information supplied by a great-grand daughter.]
