Summary

New Years message on the main street of Poochera. The photographer describes his visit to Poochera, "My first impression was of a very impoverished, rundown township, with dozens of houses that looked ready for demolition. This was inclined to influence my way of looking at the town and I was about to leave when I drove past the best kept building in the town - the pub. This positive message, taken from John Lennon's Christmas song, was written on the main road with a picture of a golden ant giving the peace symbol. The golden ant is symbolic to Poochera."
