Summary

View of Whyalla from Queen Elizabeth Drive. The photographer describes the town, "I spent the first two weeks of this trip in the township of Whyalla. I found it to be a very challenging town to work in due to the fact that it seems to be a very fractured community. These images were taken in the old part of town, which I found to have a nice established feel to it. Most of my time was spent around this area because the One Steel factory was located nearby and I was waiting for permission to go and made images inside the plant. Whyalla is one of those town that you either love or hate depending on your employer. The people employed by One Steel were very settled and loved the town, whereas a large percentage of people employed in other areas had very negative opinions."
