The photographer describes the town, "Iron Knob is a funny little town in the middle of the outback, it is basically know as the first town in Australia which produced iron ore, but it is now a dilapidated, fractured community of individuals, many of whom prefer to remain anonymous. I was driving around the town when a girl came out of a building and offered to give me a tour of the town, showing me the sights from a local's point of view. Places such as the pub and the bowling club are usually empty as the local community don't support each other. On the whole it was a township that was better left alone."
