Historical information

George Edwin Rogers [Edwin George in some records] was born at Freeling on 17 March 1892 to parents Edwin and Bertha (nee Liersch). He enlisted at Kadina on 20 March 1916 and was assigned to the 8th Infantry Brigade. He was wounded in action (near Boulogne), resulting in the loss of his right arm and was consequently discharged in 1919. See attached biography for further details.
