Summary

[General description] The Institute Building at Port Pirie, built in 1896 is a symmetrical two storey stone building with bay windows on either side of the porticoed entrance. The roof features a centre gable and widow's walk. A new building, opened by Premier Hill was completed around this time. [On back of photograph] 'Port Pirie Institute / 1932 / Reproduced in the 'Chronicle', January 14th, 1932'.
