Summary

- this photograph was used in the Philadelphia Exhibition of 1876. This photograph of Glenelg shows a long jetty with a beacon at the end. A wide expanse of sand runs down to a calm sea. In the foreground the beach is covered with dried seaweed. Two small boys are paddling in the water. Sand hills stretch south along the seashore. Only a few buildings can be seen at the beginning of the jetty.
