Summary

Members of the official party during a visit to the Savings Bank of South Australia by the Governor of South Australia. The two men in the middle are John Spencer (Viscount Althorp), the Governor's Military A.D.C. and father of Diana Spencer (later Princess of Wales) and, on the right, the South Australian Premier, Thomas Playford. The occasion is possibly the 1948 centenary of the Savings Bank. Names of the other people in the photo unknown. Photographer: Keith C. Rainsford, 58 Commercial Rd, Hyde Park.
