Summary

Lone Pine tree. The tree was grown as a seedling from the original Lone Pine at Gallipoli and planted on Remembrance Day, 11 November 1991. It replaced a Tasmanian Blue Gum brought from Villers-Bretonneux, France, which had become dangerous and had to be removed. The plaque next to the tree says, "This pine is a seedling related to the original Lone Pine on Gallipoli and was planted to commemorate the brave deeds and sacrifices of the ANZACs." The tree and its accompanying plaque are located to the west of the National War Memorial, North Terrace, Adelaide.
