Summary

South Australian Dam Busters memorial commemorates the bravery and heroism of three South Australian airmen who participated in the dam busters raid on 17 May 1943, Squadron Leader David Shannon DSO & Bar, DFC & Bar, Flight Lieutenant Robert Hay DFC & Bar, and Flying Officer Frederick Spafford DFC DFM. The memorial is on the Pathway of Honour which runs along the northern boundary of Government House, 12 July 2012.
