Historical information

'City of Adelaide' and 'City of Perth' were two De Havilland Hercules air liners which would, according to the 'Register News Pictorial' of 29 May 1929 'bring the South and West Australian capitals within two days of each other'. 'Leaving Forrest 8.55 am (Adelaide time Tuesday)...'City of Perth' made a fast and comfortable trip to Ceduna...The average speed was about 104 miles an hour'.
