Historical information

Captain J. D. Andrews was born in Adelaide, joined P & O in 1884, and was appointed to R.M.S Morea upon the retirement of Captain Brown, who had been the first to drop barrel mail at the Cocos Islands. He died of heart failure during the voyage betweeen London and Gibraltar on December 12, 1916.
