Small cottage behind a picket fence at 10 Tarcowie Street, Kilkenny. A granddaughter remembers 'My family and I lived there for some months when I was about 10. The collection of iron-mongery and assorted junk had grown and filled some of the rooms, including the bathroom. There was no running water inside and I dreaded visiting the long-drop at the bottom of the block. Poor grandma had lost most of her garden but I still remember hollyhocks, freesias, violets, flag iris and an enormous fig tree that dropped the ripe fruit in amongst the iron. The family home was demolished after the death of GEORGE in 1979. Many truck loads of iron went to Brown's Metal yard'
