Summary

Tablet at Memory Cove. The tablet states "Memory Cove. HMS Investigator. M Flinders Commander. Anchored here February 22, 1802. Mr John Thistle Master, William Taylor midshipman and six able seaman were unfortunately lost in Thorny Passage from being upset in a sudden squall. The boat was found but the bodies were not recovered" This photograph was taken at Memory Cover by Mr RM Forbes of Port Lincoln on Anniversary Day 1934.
