The King Edward the Seventh statue draped ready for unveiling by the Prince of Wales, 15 July 1920. A vast crowd of people is gathered in front of the South Australian Institute and Public Library buildings, with some people on the roof of each building. One of three photographs taken of the unveiling ceremony.

This is one of a series of photographs collected by A.E.H. Evans (1871-1950) Adelaide accountant, auditor and secretary during the time he was organising secretary of the King Edward VII Memorial Committee. Other photographs in the collection (B22247-22252) were donated by his company in 1971.
