Historical information

Sylvia Birdseye started driving as a 19 year old on the Adelaide-Mannum route for Alfred Birdseye's transport company in 1921. In 1923 she married Alfred's son Sydney, and in 1926 largely pioneered and maintained the Eyre Peninsula Motor Service. She continued working until her death in 1962.
