Historical information

Allfred William Albert Brown enlisted in late 1916, and served with the 11th Light Horse Regiment, C Squadron. He returned to Australia in December 1918, with the 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal. He was an engine driver for the S.A. Railways both before and after the war, and was stationed at Peterborough for many years. He is buried at Brighton Road Cemetery with his first wife Nell.
