General notes

One image in a collection of photographs taken by or collected by the Barr family. A note by later generations has been added, 'Great Auntie Janet and family members, (Howard?)'. A researcher has provided the following information: [This is a photograph of November 1911 taken at the first Kangaroo Island Agricultural Show, held at Kingscote. The man on the left is John Turner, long-term resident farmer and president of the agricultural committee; Governor Admiral (Retrd) Sir Day Hort Bosanquet, Governor of South Australia, formally opened the show. His Aide-de-Camp, Captain Walker, was present, but not in this photo. The vice-regal party came across on the SS Karatta. The Governor's wife and daughters are in the photo].
