Cathy Weber (front row centre), Director of Music of the Murray Park Singers (which later changed to Cantabile Singers) from 1978 to 1997. A former member of the ABC Adelaide Singers, a soprano soloist and Festival artist in her own right and long time teacher of singing at Magill Campus and choral consultant at Pembroke School (to name just two), Cathy brought a wealth of performance experience to this choir, which in 1986, was the chosen choir to sing in the Festival Theatre during the visit to Adelaide of Pope John Paul II. Husband of Cathy Weber, Tony Ryan was chorister and also as Murray Park Singers Secretary. Jenny and Kate Pope (see B 70869/15435) are in this photograph, and they were both in the choir in 1994.
