Once a year in March the South Australian International Women's Day Committee organizes a luncheon to celebrate the achievements of women. A number of awards are presented at this lunch, including Irene Bell Community Awards; the Irene Krastev Award; the Young Women Writers' Award; the Barbara Polkinghorne Award, and the Gladys Elphick Award.
