Summary

Two women and a baby pictured with a black dog at the front gate of a bluestone cottage. The women are wearing white aprons and one has a white head piece suggestive of Nurses' uniforms. A plaque at the front door says Mrs Hobby Ladies Nurse. The double fronted bluestone cottage with slate roof has the verandah iron painted in vertical stripes. Similarly the picket fence uses a contrasting colour on the main posts. This may be the residence of Mrs George Hobby, Nurse, listed in Sands and MacDougall's South Australian Directory for 1900 at 91 Beulah Road, Norwood.
