Once a year in March the South Australian International Women's Day Committee organizes a luncheon to celebrate the achievements of South Australian women. A number of awards are presented at this lunch., including Irene Bell community Awards; the Irene Krastev Award; the Young Women Writers' Award; the Barbara Polkinghorne Award; and the Gladys Elphick Award.
