[General description] This row of single storey cottages is soon to be demolished to make way for the Alma Shoes factory. The women posing in the doorways are possibly tenants. [On back of photograph] 'Acre 184 / Gray Street, west side / June 28th 1937 / Demolished in 1940 / Site of group of single storey cottages in centre / Far side of group abuts Albert Street / Frontage 30.5 yards' (Another hand) 'For view of factory erected on this site in 1946 see B 12916 and B 13673 / Including vacant area on right'.
