One of 17 photographs taken from original glass plate negatives by Thomas Bradshaw, who was the officer-in-charge of the Alice Springs Telegraph Station from 1899 to 1908. Reminiscences of his daughter Doris Blackwell (nee Bradshaw), a governess mentioned in 'Alice on the line', provides a context for these images.
