One of 17 photographs taken from original glass plate negatives by Thomas Bradshaw, who was the officer-in-charge of the Alice Springs telegraph Station from 1899 to 1908. Reminiscences of his daughter Doris Blackwell (nee Bradshaw) in 'Alice on the line' provides a context for these images.
