Historical information

Mary Weston, the only daughter of the Rev. & Mrs Frank Weston of St Augustine's Church, Unley, did her teacher training at the Lucy Morice Free Kindergarten in Sussex Street, North Adelaide. Pamela Lasscock (23/12/1926 - 7/1/2000) also did her training there and the two maintained a lifelong friendship. Pam Lasscock was the only daughter of Edward Albert & Effie Lasscock of Lockleys, and worked at a number of kindergartens before and after her marriage to Neil Hobba on 21 May 1949 at St Augustine's, Unley. The kindergartens included one in Prospect Road, the Woodville Spastic Centre, and one at Blair Athol which was built with voluntary labour. They retired to 2 Frontage Road at Lockley.
