Summary

Photograph in postcard format with caption reading: "Adelaide Trams Opened March 9,1909. First Car driven by Mrs. Price." Photograph taken looking east along Botanic Road. The 'Critic' reported that "Anyone visiting Adelaide on Tuesday would have at once seen that some immense epoch in the history of South Australia was eventuating. ...Mrs Price...and with her hand on Mr Goodman's drove the car successfully through the suburbs - a run out to Kensington and back being the prescibed jaunt."
