Summary

Photograph of Daisy Bates and Aboriginal companion on buggy pulled by camels next to which stands an Aboriginal man. The description on the reverse side, thought to have been written by Daisy Bates, reads: "The start from Eucla (Gowera in buggy, Balgundra standing) over the Great Plain in May 1914 to attend the British Association for the advancement of Science in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Eucla is now dismantled of its telegraph office, stores etc. which have been removed to the Transcontinental Railway line and Eucla is now an abandoned area - all its native inhabitants are dead."
