Summary

One of a series of photographs taken by official photographers of the Australian War Records Section: four soldiers pictured in a trench with their satchels and canteens hanging on pegs and the foxholes behind them. The caption of the photograph at the Australian War Memorial record number E00839 says, "Medical details of the 45th Battalion sheltering in a trench at Anzac Ridge, in the Ypres Sector." L-R: 3237 Private Issace John H. Steele, Private J.J. Robinson, Private G.H. Walker, Captain Owen Dibbs (who was killed in action on 28 March 1918 at Dernancourt).
