General notes

One of a series of 22 photographs copied from an album compiled by the Laidlaw family after a trip from Adelaide to the BHP steelworks in Newcastle, NSW, and back through Victoria in late 1918 or early 1919. The trip along the Murray River coincided with the 1918 flood (prior to the establishment of locks and barrages). The other photographs can be viewed through number searches on B 69141 to B 69163 inclusive.
